Child Friendly Cities

Child Friendly Cities (CFCI)

In 2013, UNICEF spearheaded a research initiative to help improve the living conditions of children around the world. They created a set of self-assessment tools for local authorities and communities, which resulted in the Child-Friendly Cities initiative, they needed a website to help them disseminate this information to member cities. In collaboration with Igor Jovicic (overall design and lead developer), I created the information architecture and helped with the development and long-term maintenance for nearly ten years. We restructured the user experience to make it more consumer-facing, appealing to government agencies, charities, parents, children, volunteers, and communities. Though the site is now hosted and maintained by a different group, they still use the same information architecture I established.
