Levittown Book Jacket and Interior Design
This is an example of some of my student work while at the School of Visual Arts. This was a typography assignment to create a book design for the play Levittown by Marc Palmeri. After reading the story, I noticed a motif of lies and baggage each character carried. This led to a visual theme of "stains of the past," which becomes more and more prominent in the design as the story progresses. The cover and jacket follow this as well, with a large stain partially obscuring the title.
